Nguyen Quoc Phi was a young Vietnamese man who came to Taiwan with dreams of a better life. He worked at a construction site, saving up enough money to start his own business back in his home country. However, his dreams were shattered when he was accused of car theft and shot dead by the police under questionable circumstances. The public quickly labelled him as a criminal and drug user, but the truth was far more complex.
This is a powerful and thought-provoking film that reveals the urgent need for systemic change to ensure the rights and dignity of every human being are respected.
