居住在靠近俄羅斯邊境地區的 Irka 和 Tolik 正緊張準備迎接即將誕生的孩子，但一架馬航客機的墜毀，令本來寧靜的村莊頓時成為世界焦點、政局動盪的中心。 客機失事不僅炸毁了二人的家，引發村莊裡分裂主義者和愛國主義者的矛盾，還引來武裝部隊與軍方的盤查介入。 衝突愈演愈烈，Irka夫妻二人該撤離村莊、還是讓孩子在水深火熱的家園中誕生？ 導演瑪麗娜·埃爾·戈爾巴赫巧妙地將烏克蘭國家衝突與個人政治交織，細膩地描繪出戰爭的平庸及恐怖。
Heavily pregnant Irka lives with her husband Tolik in a village in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. A war is taking place on the nearby Russian-Ukrainian border. A wall is missing in the living room of their house, having fallen victim to the hostilities. This exposes a view of the barren landscape which is becoming a theatre of war. When a Malaysian Airlines plane crashes nearby, Irka and Tolik initially think of it as another act of war. Even so, Irka refuses to leave her home. Director Maryna Er Gorbach unfolds her sensitive family drama against the backdrop of a military conflict. Skilfully interweaving the personal and political story of the conflict in Ukraine, provides a powerful portrait of the banal horror of war.
