周浩所關注的人物往往是新聞中頻繁出現的角色。2004年，他在廣州一幢爛尾樓認識了阿龍——癮君子、毒販、強盜，是大眾給社會邊緣人物貼上的標籤，本片又把這些標籤逐一還原成一個亡命之徒的真實生活。
歷時三年的拍攝，導演與主角阿龍的關係也產生了微妙的變化，他們成了「朋友」，卻明顯在互相利用。隨着「劇情」推進，二人關係成了本片的核心命題，周浩甚至現身在鏡頭前成為了主要角色，這一安排無疑令觀眾跌入了一種道德思考。
People that are frequently featured in news reports are the ones Zhou Hao pays attention to. In 2004, he met a man called Long in an uncompleted housing project in Guangzhou. Drug addict, drug dealer and robber are the labels the society uses to tag a social outcast such as Long. Putting these labels aside, this documentary aims at revealing the real life of an outlaw.
After three years of filming, there have been subtle changes in the relationship between Zhou and Long, who have become “friends” while obviously taking advantage of each other. As the “plot” unfolds, this relationship has become a main theme of the documentary, to an extent that Zhou has even appeared in front of the camera as a major role. This arrangement undoubtedly engages the audience in ethical reasoning.
